Marshall Miles was “the man of the house” in his family, he had 4 sisters, and was a father.
In 2018, Marshall was arrested for vandalism after he was drunk.
After being taken to jail, a police video showed that he was uncooperative, that is when multiple officers
pinned him to the ground on his stomach, stepping on him and holding down his head, and putting their knees on his back.
Marshall was yelling “I can’t breathe”, repeatedly, before losing consciousness, but the officers did not change
their position. Once he stopped moving, the officers kept telling him to “stay still”,
then left him face-down on the floor.
He never regained consciousness.
He was then “compassionately” released from custody, only to die in the hospital, surrounded by his family.
