Jemel Roberson was a 26 years old African-American, he had a 9-months old son,
he worked as security guard at the Manny’s Blue Room bar in Illinois.

Jemel was an aspiring police officer, that loved playing basketball with his school’s team.

In 2018, the police responded to a 911 call of a shooting at the bar.
Armed security guard Roberson apprehended the suspect that opened fire, he had him pinned to the ground.

When the police arrived, the bystanders started yelling that Roberson was a security guard,
but that didn’t stop them from fatally shooting Roberson 4 times within seconds of their arrival.

Roberson was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
