Elijah McClain was a 23 years old Black American.

In 2019, 3 police officers confronted McClain after they received a report about an unarmed person that looked “sketchy”
because he was wearing a ski mask.

McClain was held to the ground and was hand-cuffed.
Paramedics administered ketamine to Elijah sedate him.
He went into a cardiac arrest.

3 days after arriving at the hospital, they declared him brain dead.

He was removed from life support a few days after that.
