Alfred Olango, 38 years old, former refugee from Uganda.

He was shot several times by police that were responding to a 911 call.

Officers claimed to have believed that Alfred was pointing a firearm. But the object in his hand
was just an e-cigarette.

He died in a hospital later that day.

In 2017, SDC District’s Attorney announced that
there won’t be any criminal charges filed against the officers involved in this shooting.
